I believe accidents happen for a reason. They show and teach us things we might otherwise overlook.
For instance, I try to make all dragonflies slightly unique in their wing angles and shape, and curve, if any, of their bodies. I do not consider a body that has creased in my bending process as acceptable for sale.
I did bend one a tad too far this morning while making a large bunch of Dexter’s – from the 496 blanks I assembled for the last contest. In an effort to correct… though from past experience, I know it can’t be restored… I came up with this.
Center Dragonfly – Old. All surrounding Dragonflies – New.
So what do you think? I’ll be making about 150 like this today. After today, it depends on your opinions. Please weigh in.
Thanks for you input.

So the body has a slight sway in it now? I like that a whole lot better

Thank you for your comment. Actually, used a straight “old” model so you could see the smooth body. I’ve enhanced the segments of the abdomen on the other four dragonflies. Maybe my picture isn’t as clear as I’d hoped.
I think that they all look good.
