Thank you to everyone who entered this month’s Dragonfly contest.
Three winners have been drawn. Judy of Nepean, Ontario, Marilyn of New Hamburg Ontario, and Karyn of Greenfield Park, Quebec. I will be getting in touch with each of you tomorrow to find out what styles of dragonflies you’d like to receive.
Turning in early tonight as I’ve decided tomorrow will be a perfect opportunity to take a trip to the Ottawa River and collect a fresh supply of driftwood, just as the sun rises. 4:30-5:00am. I plan to be back home before most people are out of bed on a Sunday morning – 7am.
I’m so excited . Last summer when I collected driftwood for the first time, August 14th, I wasn’t quite sure I would be using it. Now I know how I want to use it, which should make the collecting process easier and I’ll be more selective. The river didn’t flood its banks this spring as it did last year, thereby bringing many pieces to the banks to inspect. I hope I can find some good pieces tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
