Summer by the seaside…. “SUMMERSIDE”

Ottawa River Driftwood, meticulously cleaned, lightly sanded, and clear-coated with water-base, gloss exterior urethane, to bring out the character of the driftwood.

Top arm was well munched by our National animal before it came into my possession.

Five 5 copper dragonflies, 2 bright, 3 with a brilliant and unusual patina, one I’ve not been able to recreate to date.

Semi-precious Blue Banded Agate and Raw Amazonite nugget “bob” keep SUMMERSIDE beached and not drifting out to sea.

Nearly white seashells, beach sand and crystal blue agate complete this beach-themed mobile.

Delicate tri-colour-patinated wings. Patina created from home recipe of my copper scraps, white vinegar, pink salt, and accidental iron contamination, along with a fair deal of patience. Automotive clear-coat applied to dried wings for stability of crystals formed during the evaporation process.

Not recommended for outdoor display.
