Shadowbox  – “PALM FRONDS”

Four individually hand-crafted copper dragonflies mounted against a background evoctive of sea and sand. Each dragonfly’s wings is varying shades of green representing the palm trees of that idyllic setting.

Wing colour; alcohol ink with added texture from a sprinkling of extra fine white polyester glitter, before ink dries. Glitter acts like a magnet to the quickly drying ink, resulting in a high/low effect of colour depth. (Oh! How I love to experiment.)

Finished Size:  23cm (9″) square, 3.2cm (1.25″) deep.
