Driftwood Accent – “LUNCH AT THE WHARF”
Incorporating driftwood personally collected from the shores and beaches of Prince Edward Island.
A notch, from a previous cut on this scorched driftwood log makes a perfect support for the oyster shelf displaying a “pregnant” tillandsia ionantha. The pink shade, I’m told is not a bloom but a new tillandsia ionantha being formed.
Kasey, at Plant and Curio, Preston Street, Ottawa, where I purchased a number of small tillandsias, says that the original plant will eventually die off as this new one presents itself. I’m curious to see this, although willing to pack it off to any customer who would like to see it for themselves.
One suspended, personally handcrafted, copper dragonfly, with patina wings created with the help of Modern Masters Metal Effects Patina formulation flits above the air plant resting on the shelf. Not secured. Best to be comfortable when giving birth.
Instructions for the care of this tillandsia will be included with purchase.
