Driftwood Accent – “SEVENTY PERCENT”

Incorporating driftwood personally collected from the shores and beaches of Prince Edward Island.

Named for the natural colour of the wood found beneath. 70% Cocoa; deep, rich brown. I do not know the species but it is a gorgeous wood.  Included pics of raw piece, sanding and one prior to dragonfly installation.  Note the dark sanding dust on my left hand while sanding on my little balcony. Messy, but so rewarding – if you like wood.

So many interesting angles to this piece, I had a difficult time choosing where to mount its passengers.

Personally handcrafted, copper dragonflies, with patina wings created with the help of Modern Masters Metal Effects Patina formulation. The darker copper areas on the wings exactly match the rich brown of the driftwood.

SIZE:  32cm (12.5″) long  x 15cm (6″)  wide x 11cm (4.5″) tall.
